Jacqueline Fernandez is a key witness in the Rs 200 crore ransom case
Actress Jacqueline Fernandez arrived at the ED's Delhi office today for questioning. Jacqueline is a key witness in the Rs 200 crore ransom case involving Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The ED has called Jacqueline for a third time in this case. Sukesh is lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail. Jacqueline was barred from going abroad at the Mumbai airport on Sunday evening. She was on her way to Riyadh for Salman Khan's 'The-Bang' tour. The ED has also questioned actress Nora Fatehi in the case.
According to the ED, Jacqueline is a key witness in Sukesh's Rs 200 crore ransom case. It is alleged that Jacqueline was dating Sukesh. Meanwhile, Conman Sukesh gave Jacqueline many expensive gifts. It includes crockery with jewelry, 4 Persian cats and a horse. A Persian cat costs Rs 9 lakh. The price of the horse is Rs 52 lakh.
ED has found a lot of evidence including photos proving the closeness between Jacqueline and Sukesh. Jacqueline was also questioned by the ED in August. A 7,000-page chargesheet has been filed against Sukesh Chandrasekhar, his wife Lina Maria Paul and six others in the case.
An FIR has been lodged against Sukesh and others in the Economic Crimes Branch of Delhi Police. The ED had said after the raid that Sukesh Chandrasekhar was the mastermind of the scam. He has been a part of the criminal world since he was 17 years old. The ED had on August 24 seized Sukesh's sea-facing bungalow in Chennai. Rs 82.5 lakh, 2 kg of gold and more than 12 luxury cars were seized from the bungalow.
