Aryan Khan Case Updates: Shah Rukh Khan's son's bail plea rejected, will remain in jail

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Mumbai has rejected the bail applications of Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan and two of  his friends. Now Aryan Khan will have to stay in the Quarantine Ward of Arthur Road Jail for the next three to five days. In the meantime his lawyers can apply for bail in the Sessions Court. Mumbai's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate RM Nerlikar rejected Aryan's bail application, saying this court was not the proper place for this application.

Aryan Khan's lawyer Satish Maneshinde said before the court that our client is from a respectable family. He has deep roots in the society. He can't run. Maneshinde also referred to the Riya Chakraborty case and said that the decisions taken in respect of people from whom small quantities of narcotics have been recovered should also be taken into account.



Maneshinde also dismissed the Narcotics Control Bureau's (NCB) argument that Aryan may damage the evidence against him. He said that just because a person is from an influential family, to say that he can tamper with the evidence,would be wrong. There are many such people roaming in the open, who are facing more serious allegations.

Arrested on the basis of chat. The NCB, while demanding extension of Aryan's remand, had said that in Aryan's WhatsApp chat, talks were being done about football, but indirectly it was being talked about the quantity of drugs.According to Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Anil Singh, there cannot be a similarity between the WhatsApp chat and the incident. 

Let us inform that after the order to send Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha to judicial custody late on Thursday evening, last Sunday.All the eight accused arrested were kept in the NCB lock-up overnight.In the morning he was sent to Arthur Road Jail. However, Aryan Khan's report is said to be Kovid negative. But according to the rules of the jail, he will have to stay in the quarantine ward for three to five days. Due to the three accused being sent to Arthur Road Jail, they were also not produced in the court on Friday. According to Aryan's counsel, after getting the copy of the verdict, he will file a bail application in the sessions court.
