The film 'Rashmi Rocket' is the story of a young girl from a small village who has got a special blessing from nature. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, the film is said to be based on a story written by Nanda Periyasamy. Apart from Nanda Periyasamy, the writing team of the film also includes Anirudh Guha and Kanika Dhillon. Kanika had also written Taapsee's previous film 'Haseen Dilruba'.
The other cast of the film 'Rashmi Rocket' also includes Supriya Pathak, Abhishek Banerjee, Priyanshu Painyuli and Supriya Pilgaonkar. Regarding this new film, Taapsee Pannu says, 'The film 'Rashmi Rocket' is special for me in a different way. Usually, when a film comes to me, its directors approach me with the entire script. But, this film came to me only in the form of a line for the first time in Chennai.
From day one, everyone was so sure about the story that there was never a problem at any point in teaming up for it. I am extremely proud of this film." 'Rashmi Rocket' is releasing on October 15 on Zee5.
