Exclusive Interview With Actress Apsara Rani
Apsara Rani (aka) Anketa Maharana is an Indian film Actress, who has worked predominantly in Telugu movie industry. She has worked in popular movies like Oollalla Oollalla, 4 Letters. Ram Gopal Varma changed her name from Anketa Maharana to Apsara Rani in the movie Thriller. She got noticed for her performance in the bilingual film Patnagarh in 2020. She has recently appeared in popular filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma’s (RGV) upcoming movie ‘Thriller’ Her latest bold photo-shoot became sensation in the industry.
In an interaction with FilmyNaka.com, Apsara rani talked about her journey and experience in Acting career.
FilmyNaka - Tell us something about your journey in the entertainment industry?
Apsara rani - My journey has been very unpredictable and I’m definitely loving the process.
FilmyNaka - Was acting in your mind since childhood?
Apsara rani - Yes.. Since childhood I have been wanting to be like Sridevi, Rekha and always use to watch their movies and songs
FilmyNaka - Why did you want to be an actress?
Apsara rani - I think that’s what I’m best at..!
FilmyNaka - If not an actor what would you have been?
Apsara rani - I’m not sure about anything else.
FilmyNaka - Did you take any formal training in acting?
Apsara rani - I wanted to, but I started working as an actor and started learning in the process!
FilmyNaka - How did you get your first break in acting?
Apsara rani - I use to model and thats how I got a connection for a movie which didn’t happen but I tried and got another movie(4 letters).
FilmyNaka - What kind of roles are you looking for?
Apsara rani - Am an actor so I’d pretty much play any role if I love the script.
FilmyNaka - How would you describe yourself as a person?
Apsara rani - Stubborn and Ambitious!
FilmyNaka - To what extent do you believe in destiny?
Apsara rani - I believe in the Journey and not destiny.
FilmyNaka - Do you think that luck is just an excuse for those who lack talent?
Apsara rani - I think Luck definitely plays a part but thats not something in our control…. Talent is what we’re responsible for, and without being talented nothing really is possible in this competitive world..
FilmyNaka - Who are your favorite actors and actresses?
Apsara rani - Rajesh Khanna, Madhubala, Rekha, Sridevi.
FilmyNaka - Which are the directors in your wish list?
Apsara rani - Sanjay leela Bansali.
FilmyNaka - Would you consider it a compliment if a man calls you sexy?
Apsara rani - It depends on the situation and my relation with the man!
FilmyNaka - Please tell us something about your upcoming FILM?
Apsara rani - Dangerous is a lesbian crime, action and a love story between two women!
FilmyNaka - Did you face any struggle?
Apsara rani - Life is full of struggles!
FilmyNaka - If not an actor what would you have been?
Apsara rani - Interior Designer maybe.
FilmyNaka - What changes did you see in the industry over the years?
Apsara rani - I have been a part since 2 years now, so too young in the industry to talk about the changes!
FilmyNaka - How are you keeping yourself fit these days?
Apsara rani - I do yoga and workout at home in lockdown to keep myself fit…
FilmyNaka - Did you always want to be an actress?
Apsara rani - Yes!
FilmyNaka - What else do you see yourself doing next?
Apsara rani - I really want to be a director so lets see!
FilmyNaka - Do you believe in destiny as the show goes out to inspires viewers to believe in destiny?
Apsara rani - I don’t believe in destiny.
FilmyNaka - What is it like shooting for your show in the midst of this new normal?
Apsara rani - It is definitely difficult and I’m hating this new normal!
FilmyNaka - How did you spend your time during the lockdown? What kept you motivated?
Apsara rani - My puppy Harry has been my source of happiness!
FilmyNaka - What did you learn from the pandemic?
Apsara rani - Nothing is permanent!
FilmyNaka - Who are your favourite Bollywood actors and why?
Apsara rani - Ranbir Kapoor, because he’s a brilliant actor!
