Sonu Sood
Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood, who has become a household name with his humanitarian work, holds an Engineering degree in Electronics. Sonu Sood was educated at Sacred Heart School, Moga,and at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE), Nagpur.
Kriti Sanon
Not many are aware of the fact that versatile actor Kriti Sanon is an engineer by profession. Kriti Sanon (born 27 July 1990) is an Indian actress who appears predominantly in Hindi films. She pursued an engineering degree from the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in Electronics and Communication, after which she briefly worked as a model. After making her debut in Telugu cinema with the psychological thriller 1: Nenokkadine (2014), Sanon won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance in Sabbir Khan's action-comedy Heropanti (2014), which marked her first project in Hindi cinema.
Vicky Kaushal
Actor Vicky Kaushal, who received great appreciation for his debut film Masaan, is an Electronics and Telecommunications Engineer. He studied at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology in Versova. Born to the action director Sham Kaushal, Kaushal pursued an engineering degree from the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology. Aspiring to take up a career in film, he assisted Anurag Kashyap in the crime drama Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) and went on to play minor roles in two of Kashyap's productions.
Kartik Aryan
Kartik Aryan pursued an engineering degree in biotechnology from Navi Mumbai's D. Y. Patil College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai, while secretly harbouring ambitions for a career in film. He met Casting Director Rahul Gurmeet Singh and started his journey to Bollywood, Rahul introduced him to Kumar Mangat Pathak (Producer) and Luv Ranjan (Director). Aaryan began a modelling career while Rahul convinced the producer for his first break. He informed his parents of his desire to become an actor only after he signed for his first film. Kartik Aaryan, the ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ guy is known for his lengthy speech in the movie. While doing an engineering course, Kartik took an acting course which helped him mature as an actor in a young age itself.
Taapsee Pannu
Actor Taapsee Pannu, who is known for her impeccable acting skills and style on the silver screen holds a degree in Computer Science Engineering. She did her schooling at the Mata Jai Kaur Public School in Ashok Vihar and did her graduation in Computer Science Engineering from the Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology.
R Madhavan
R Madhavan, who created a mark in the film industry with his acting in films like Rehna Tere Dil Mein did his graduation in electronics. He went to IIT-Madras and is a proud graduate of a Bachelors's in Technology in Mechanical Engineering. During the period, he also won the Indian Championship for Public Speaking and subsequently represented India at the Young Businessmen Conference in Tokyo, Japan in 1992.
Riteish Deshmukh
Actor Riteish Deshmukh is an architect as well as holds a master's degree in Civil Engineering. The actor who was born to veteran politician Vilasrao Deshmukh went to Kamla Raheja College of Architecture in Mumbai. The actor studied architect engineering and got a degree.Deshmukh launched his own production house Mumbai Film Company in 2013 with producing a Marathi film Balak Palak, which won several awards.
Amol Parashar
Parashar is quite popular for his role The Viral Fever’s web series ‘Tripling’. He graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput
Before trying his luck in films, the late actor dreamt of being an engineer. He pursued Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering Rajput started his career after dropping out of his engineering course at the Delhi College of Engineering and entering the theatre industry in Mumbai. He moved on to feature in Hindi television serials, his debut show was the romantic drama Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008), followed by the lead role in the soap opera Pavitra Rishta (2009–2011). He made his Bollywood debut in the film adaptation Kai Po Che! (2013) which became a commercial and critical success.
Late Kader Khan
Late actor Kader Khan who was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, moved to India when he was only six months old. He enrolled in a local municipal school and later in the Ismail Yusuf College after which he graduated in Engineering specializing in Civil engineering. Between 1970 and 1975, he taught at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering in Byculla as a professor of civil engineering. While performing in a play named Taash Ke Patey, he was noted by comedian Agha who then suggested actor Dilip Kumar to see the play. Dilip Kumar was impressed and signed him up for his next films, Sagina and Bairaag.
