Exclusive Interview With Actress Ananya Dutta
Ananya Dutta is an Indian Actress and Model. she worked for the webseries LOVE LIFE AND SCREW UPS – Season 2, MARGAON THE CLOSED FILE, LIGHTS, CAMERA, MURDER. She has been part of Bengali movie ‘Natobar Not Out’, ‘God Only Knows’. Ananya Dutta has done Theatre Plays ‘Bottom Up Gang’, ‘Oh No, Not Again’, ‘Monkey Business’, ‘Carry On Heaven’ and currently performing in ‘That’s My Girl’. She has also worked for the webseries ‘Love Life and Screw Ups Season 2’, ‘Shocking Secrets of Trophy Wives’. Ananya Dutta has done Modelling for video commercials ‘Thumps Up’, ‘Volkswagen’, Maruti Omni’, ‘Vasmol’ and many more. She has waked ramp shows for ‘Loreal’, ‘Weekender’, ‘Sabyaschi’ and many more. Ananya is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer.
In an interaction with FilmyNaka.com, Ananya Dutta talked about her journey and experience in Acting career.
FilmyNaka- How fulfilling has your journey been so far?
Ananya Dutta - I have done more than 130 ads as a model and over 500 shows in theatre. A cookery show for Chef Sanjeev kapoor and webcontent with actors like zeenat Aman , Pallavi joshi, kitu gidwani and others.
So yes I am happy but not content.... I think I have miles to go as an actress.
FilmyNaka- What does fashion mean to you? Since people like your fashion sense,any tips for the youngsters?
Ananya Dutta - I believe more in style than fashion. When you see something that is in fashion, make sure it suits your personal style. That's what youngsters must keep in mind.
FilmyNaka- Inspiration and role model for you?
Ananya Dutta - As a fashion icon Jennifer Lopez who at 52 is still as stunning as she was at 30. There is very little in fashion that she can't carry off.
As an actor Mr Amitabh Bacchan. Someone who has reinvented himself and is living an actor's dream life of exploring diverse roles and pulling them off brilliantly.
Also stories of his punctuality and rehearsing constantly to better his performance even now is something we should all learn.
FilmyNaka- What inspires your own sense of style and how do you keep updating it?
Ananya Dutta - As I already said I see what is in fashion and if they suit my personal style. My style should enhance my personality. Not overshadow it.
FilmyNaka- 3 directors that are on your list and you would want to work with them in the near future?
Ananya Dutta - Farhan Akhter, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Anurag Basu. I know it's an ambitious list but then it's more of a dream list.
FilmyNaka- An actress you would want to work with next?
Ananya Dutta - Rekha. Maybe I will learn something from her never fading grace.
FilmyNaka- How challenging it had been shooting during the pandemic and how things will come out in this lockdown situation?
Ananya Dutta - Lockdown was zero work. Luckily I got to do the first schedule of a webseries right after the first lockdown. Then again was home for the second lockdown.
This entire situation has been a testing time. However I am confident things will gradually get back to the new normal . We will all have to adapt.
FilmyNaka - If not an actor, what could have been your alternate career option?
Ananya Dutta - I love animals. So I would be a zoo keeper!
FilmyNaka- How do you look back on your journey in the arena of the Theatre entertainment industry?
Ananya Dutta - It's been amazing. Performing to 900 to 1000 people live every weekend.
And getting a chance to work with senior theatre actors like Tom Alter, Ananth Mahadevan, Mona Ambegaonkar, Bharat Dabholkar, vijoo khote and others.
FilmyNaka- Tell us about your beauty routine too and how do you pick beauty products?
Ananya Dutta - Cleansing, toning, moisturizing twice a day. Sunblock during the day. And lots of water and a balanced diet.
I pick up beauty products which are from Asian companies usually as they understand Asian skin better.
So most of my beauty products are from Japanese, Korean and Indian companies.
Of course they have to be cruelty free.
FilmyNaka- Make-Up quick fixes, you like to use or hacks when you are in rush?
Ananya Dutta - Define your eyebrows, wear 2 coats of mascara and a bright lipstick.
FilmyNaka- Your take on beauty products that make tall fairness claims?
Ananya Dutta - Products are a reaction to demand. Sadly in ìndia people still place a high value on fair skin. You can't really blame the manufacturers.
FilmyNaka- How often do you use accessories to upgrade your look? What kind of accessories you can’t go without?
Ananya Dutta - I am a collector when it comes to accessories. And I like artistic dramatic accessories.
Usually pick up accessories when I travel.
I really love long earrings... I must be having hundreds of them !
FilmyNaka- Being a fitness freak, share your diet plan and lifestyle amidst the pandemic?
Ananya Dutta - I mainly eat home-cooked food so my diet wasn't a problem during the pandemic.
To get some exercise I used to climb my building staircase of seven floors five times daily. It's quite a cardio.
But I am really thankful that the gyms have opened.
FilmyNaka- How active are you on social media? How do you deal with the appreciation & trolling?
Ananya Dutta - I am pretty active on social media. Appreciation makes me grateful. And the best way to deal with trolls is to ignore and not give them the power to hassle you.
FilmyNaka- All time travel favorite travel destination? Places I would like to travel to when the situation is under control (domestic/abroad)?
Ananya Dutta - I don't have a favourite destination as I don't like to visit the same place again and again. A new place always has elements to surprise you.
But once things are in control a visit to Italy is on my list.
FilmyNaka- Favorite ourite places to eat in Mumbai?
Ananya Dutta - Anywhere with good food !
