Haji Imam Ali, the great freedom fighter of India was born in 1896 in Brambe, Ranchi, Jharkhand. According to historian K.K. Dutta, he was the most influential freedom fighter in chhotanagpur region.
From 1916 to 1919, Maulana Abul kalam Azad was detained in Ranchi. During this period late Haji Imam Ali was his most trustworthy ally in the entire region.
Maulana Abul kalam Azad was highly influenced by the simplicity and honesty of Haji Imam Ali.
In the year 1924, Haji Imam Ali came in contact with Mahatma Gandhi and after after that he dedicated his entire life to fight the British empire and for the freedom of India.
After his death, he was also awarded TAMRPATR by Prime minister of that time Late shri Rajiv Gandhi for his contribution in the freedom of india as he strengthened many voices, enriched the nationalist movement and influenced the youth to participate in the freedom struggle.
Nadeem Ahmad khan said "I feel so proud and honoured that i belong to a family who dedicated their entire life in the freedom of India".
