She wanted the best to come out of her and for that she did a grooming session which was all the way in Chembur, she had to travel a lot and used to change 6 trains a day to reach there. But she says that when you are passionate about something that you want in your life, these obstacles are nothing, "I don't need an alarm clock to wake me, my passion wakes me each and every day." She filled in the application of Mrs. India Earth, 2018 and got selected and finally she also won the title of Mrs. India Earth 2018, best face of the West but the journey didn't stop there.
She says that there wasn't a single moment where she felt low in this entire journey because if at all someday she was off, her husband was just a call away. She would call and speak to him for 2 minutes and get rejuvenated and she would be popped up to start everything all again. She says, "Today women, they forget to live their lives, they don't see anything beyond their house, beyond their kitchens, beyond their society. What I really want them to understand is, you are a human first, then you have a different role to play altogether." She believes that she has come a long way and become a better person than what she was yesterday because she never had competition with anyone else, but with her own self. She wanted to be a role model for the society.

It’s not just my victory but it’s something which I want to share it with my husband Abhishek Varadkar and my entire family. I would also like to mention here it’s never to late to start anything new in life. Though I am 36 now I never felt age is a constrain for me. I was happy to give tough competition to girls aged 20-21. Its a big big achievement for me and I shall always treasure this moment in my life.
How did you venture into the world of modelling after marriage?
I had never in my wildest dream ever thought of entering into this world of pageantry. It all started with a push from my husband who has been a backbone for my success. He believed in more more than what I believed in myself. He has been my guide, mentor, soulmate & a true friend. Mumbai Model Roma kept telling me no matter what the situation is, no matter how tough life gets no matter how low you feel in life, just get up, dress up and show up should be your attitude towards life.
Beautiful Mumbai Fashion Model Roma has given wings to my dreams & I am so blessed and fortunate to have a life partner like him. It’s not very easy for a mother of two who lives with two physically challenged in-laws who are deaf and mute by birth to come this far & actually win it. Also my husband lives overseas for work and that made my journey even more tougher. Though we live miles apart we are always connected by heart and he has stood as a pillar and has been my support system till the very end.
Also, to mention Rajeev Khandelwal (well known Bollywood actor & host )a close friend has been a true motivator throughout my journey. I can’t thank him enough for his continuous love and support. Last but not the least – a big thank you to my friends & family.
