Happy Republic Day 2021: Actress Palak Singh extend heartfelt wishes
India celebrates its 72nd Republic Day. Many Bollywood celebrities took to social media to extend their wishes to their fans on the occasion. The stars also urged fans to understand not just our rights but our duties as well.
26 January marks the 72nd anniversary of the day when the Indian Constitution was brought into effect in 1950. And the emotions of patriotism are riding high on everyone right now. A little history here on the special day that is today: Though India got independence in 1947, we still didn't have a constitution in place and most of the Indian laws were taken and modified from the British laws, established in the Government of India Act 1935. It was on 26th January that the constitution was finally drafted. It only came into effect in 1950 though.
